Ready for your test?


  1. Email Drive@HstOregon.com -

      • Applicant Name

      • Date of Birth

      • Picture of Oregon ID Number (Applicant's Oregon ID, Oregon Learner Permit, a previous Oregon Driver License, or Receipt from the Oregon DMV's Knowledge Test)

      • Where you would like to test (Wilsonville, McMinnville or Keizer)

      • When you would like to test (Date/Time)

      • Your contact phone number

      • Type and color of vehicle you will be testing in; or let us know if you're needing a rental vehicle.

  2. Once we determine you are eligible for testing, we will schedule your test and send you a confirmation.

  3. Please arrive to your appointment at least 10 minutes prior to scheduled appointment time.

  4. You must have a valid photo ID with you for proof of identity, proof of valid current insurance, and proof of current registration.

  5. Bring a photocopy of your photo ID with you to give to the Examiner at time of test.

  6. Review the Drive Test Pamphlet prior to your test.

  7. Test fee - $70.00, Rental fee - $40.00 (See our payment page for payment options)

Eligibility if under 18 years old:

  • Applicant must be at least 16 years old

  • Applicant must have held an Oregon Learner Permit for a minimum of 6 months


Eligibility if over 18 years old:

  • Applicant must have a valid Customer Number. This number can be in any of the following forms:

    • Issued by the DMV at time of knowledge test

    • Current or previous Oregon ID

    • Current or previous Oregon Learner Permit

    • Previous Oregon Driver License

Didn't pass? It happens. Sometimes it takes a couple tries. Give us a call at 503-756-3244, we'll be happy to schedule you for a retest as soon as we can.

What is a Provisional License?

Until 18 Years of Age:

  • You cannot operate a motor vehicle while using a mobile communication device, including talking on a cell phone and texting. Hands-free accessories are not allowed.

First Six Months:

  • You cannot drive with a passenger under age 20 who is not a member of your immediate family; and

  • You cannot drive between midnight and 5:00 AM unless you are:

    • Driving between home and work.

    • Driving between home and a school event for which there is no other transportation available.

    • Driving for employment purposes.

    • Accompanied by a licensed driver who is at least 25 years old.

Second Six Months:

  • You cannot drive with more than three (3) passengers who are under age 20 who are not members of your immediate family; and

  • You cannot drive between midnight and 5:00 AM unless you are:

    • Driving between home and work.

    • Driving between home and a school event for which there is no other transportation available.

    • Driving for employment purposes.

    • Accompanied by a licensed driver who is at least 25 years old.

*Passenger restrictions do not apply while driving with an instructor as part of a certified traffic safety education course or with a parent, stepparent, or legal guardian who has valid driving privileges.

Note: The passenger and night driving restrictions only apply until you are 18 or you have had your provisional license for one year, whichever comes first.
